The Premier League saw some brilliant efforts throughout October, as several players push for player of the month awards across a variety of platforms.
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero was the top scorer throughout October, with his goals helping the current champions keep the pressure up on Chelsea who look to be the most likely to wrestle the title away from the Etihad.
Everton defender Leighton Baines was the best in terms of assists as he routinely got into good positions around the pitch to create opportunities for teammates to score. His top class delivery in dead ball situations also helped.
Two goalkeepers made the most saves during October; Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur and Vito Mannone of Sunderland. However, Lloris edges this individual battle because he wasn’t on the receiving end of an 8-0 defeat and dropped from his first team.
Mohamed Diame was the Premier League’s best tackler while Yaya Toure and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas battled for the most accurate passer title.
Our award for October goes to Aguero, as he was simply superb in the Manchester City attack.
