The Manchester City captain says he plays football 'for glory.'
The Belgian was asked on Twitter by Arsenal fan Piers Morgan whether he would join the Gunners if he was paid the heavy sum and the defender's response was emphatic.
Morgan, though, persisted by offering £60m and two Ferraris, to which Kompany responded: 'I play for glory.'
The dialogue began when Kompany celebrated Anderlecht's comeback from 3-0 down against the north London side in the Champions League.
The Belgians ended up drawing 3-3 and the 28-year-old could not help but express his delight on Twitter, as he played for the club for 14 years.

Manchester City resume their own Champions League campaign tomorrow night against CSKA Moscow at the Etihad Stadium.
Ironically, Kompany's City side surrendered a big lead of their own against the Russian side last time out, having been two goals up only to be pegged back to a 2-2 draw.
Unlike City, meanwhile, Arsenal's position in their Champions League group is far less perilous.
