Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Mason facing action? Insigne signs new contract

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason could be the subject of retrospective action from the FA.

Mason was one of the players involved in the incident, which saw Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke sent off during the match last weekend.

Reported Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Lorenzo Insigne has signed a new five-year contract with Napoli.

The 23-year-old is one of Italy’s most exciting players and was thought to be firmly on the radar of Mauricio Pochettino’s club.

Arsenal were also thought to be interested in him but he’ll now be a Napoli player until 2019.

Tottenham star Nacer Chadli says striker Harry Kane can have an impact at international level with England.

Kane is one of England’s most in form strikers having scored nine goals in his last 13 appearances.

“Why not? It is up to him and the manager of the national team. He has a lot of quality and he can have some impact in the game,” said the Belgian.
