Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was visibly frustrated to see his side concede a late equaliser against Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Arsenal looked to be cruising to an easy win against Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Gunners headed into the Group D clash against the Belgian giants at the Emirates Stadium as the favourites.

The Premier League outfit took the lead through a Mikel Arteta penalty in the 25th minute, and doubled the advantage just four minutes later when Alexis Sanchez found the target with a brilliant effort.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain himself scored an amazing goal just before the hour mark, and it appeared that Arsenal had three points in the bag.

However, Anderlecht staged a sensational comeback thereafter and scored three goals in the final 30 minutes. Anthony Vanden Borre netted twice and Aleksandar Mitrovic equalised in the final minute of normal time.

It was an extraordinary collapse that neither manager Arsene Wenger nor his Arsenal players could fully taken in at the time, as the pictures (above and below) shows.

Despite the draw, Arsenal are still very much in with a chance of progressing to the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Gunners are currently second in Group D with seven points from four matches, five points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal need just a point from their final two matches to book a place in the last 16.
