Manchester City morning news: Zabaleta's fun over United, latest on Lampard future

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has weighed in on the whole City v United debate.

The Argentine claims City have become a bigger club than United after Louis van Gaal’s claims United were obviously the larger organisation.

“Now it's a bit different. We are dominating at the moment in the derby games. But that shows how Manchester City are improving year after year,” said Zabaleta.

Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard is unlikely to stay at the club beyond January.

Lampard has had a great impact at the Etihad since he signed on loan from sister club New York City.

There was talk that Lampard could extend his loan deal to cover most of this season.

Yaya Toure received racial abuse within hours of reactivating his Twitter account.

The Manchester City midfielder was subjected to the idiotic online bullying as he looked to re-connect with his fans.

The abuse has been reported to the police and is being investigated.
