Leeds United will head into tonight’s Championship clash against Charlton Athletic at Elland Road placed 19th in the league table.
The Whites have not won in their last seven league matches and are closer to the bottom than to the top six.
Meanwhile, Charlton are flying high. The Addicks are currently ninth in the standings with 23 points from 15 matches, just three points behind sixth-placed Norwich City.
Charlton will be favourites for today’s match despite being the away side, and the stats justify that.
As shown above, Charlton are better than Leeds in a number of areas. Bob Peeters’s side have scored more goals and conceded fewer than the West Yorkshire outfit, while having more shots than today’s opponents.
One area in which Leeds are better than their opponents is in ball possession. They have played more passes and have had more possession per match.
And that could come handy for Neil Redfearn’s side tonight. Playing at home will be an advantage for Leeds; and if they get an early goal, then their ability on the ball will give them an edge against Charlton.
