Mehdi Abeid says it has been an 'unreal' week for him at St James' Park.
The 22-year-old starred for Newcastle as they knocked defending champions Manchester City out of the Capital One Cup last Wednesday, before making his Premier League debut during the 1-0 win over Liverpool three days later.
Those personal landmarks coincided with the Magpies securing four wins on the bounce in all competitions - and three in the league.
And Abeid admits it has been an unreal week for him, although he insists he is 'not finished' quite yet.
"It has been unreal," Abeid is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "To play against big sides like Manchester City and Liverpool in one week is fantastic. I am getting more and more experience and learning what it is like to play against big players.
"But I have to keep my head down and work every day to prove that I can be a solution for the team and for the coach.
"You don’t know how pleased I am – but I am not finished. I need to work every day and I want to judge myself against the big players.
"I know that some days will be good and some bad, but I have been passionate and worked hard for four years – which have been difficult – but that is the way I work and play my football."
