A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
John Terry reportedly phoned a fan after he criticised Jose Mourinho on Instagram.
The fan made a point over the cost of watching Chelsea, with Terry apparently sympathetic to his plight.
“As much as we all love Jose, his comments were not called for and were completely bang out of order for people who pay ridiculous prices each week to watch Chelsea,” said the supporter.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville claims Cesar Azpilicueta is the best defender in England’s top flight.
The Spaniard has been a key part of Jose Mourinho’s defence since he returned to the club before last season.
“I'd say, for consistency of performances, it would be one of the Chelsea lads and I'd probably say Azpilicueta,” Neville told Sky Sports News.
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he needs to win the Champions League.
Fabregas hasn’t won the competition despite having played for Barcelona, one of the dominant sides in the competition over the last few years.
“It is important, the Champions League is the competition I still need to win. It would give me enormous satisfaction,” said Fabregas.
