Wilfried Zaha was bright for Crystal Palace against Sunderland, but struggled to make a telling impact.
Manchester United loanee Wilfried Zaha had a chance to impress on Monday Night Football for Crystal Palace, but could not prevent his side falling to a home loss to Sunderland.
The Black Cats bounced back from their recent poor form, to inflict a 3-1 loss on the Eagles.
Zaha almost appeared to be trying too hard, having three shots on target but unable to make any kind of telling impact.
|Match||Shots||On Target||Dribbles||Key Passes||Crossing Accuracy||Mins Played|
|Wilfried Zaha||C. Palace vs Sunderland||3||0||5||1||18%||90|
The Crystal Palace winger was bright in terms of recording five successful dribbling attempts, yet again, he was unable to convert these into production, creating only one goalscoring opportunity.
More frustrating was his crossing. Zaha delivered 11 crosses into the box, but only connected with a teammate on two occasions, a paltry 18 per cent success rate.
The loss was Zaha's third start of the Premier League season, and to his credit he does have one goal and one assist to his name.
United loaned him out because he was far from the end product they are looking for, in order to give him game time, and Monday night was illustration of just why.
