Tottenham Hotspur's Nacer Chadli says that the side need to start being sharper in every area of the pitch if they are to meet their expectations this season.
Spurs may have came from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1 at the weekend, but Chadli is still hoping to see a big improvement from the side in recent weeks.
They left it until very late to beat Villa with Chadli himself getting on the scoresheet before Harry Kane grabbed a winner.
It was an important three points for the Lilywhites, who had started the season in worrying form, but Chadli wasn't totally satisfied with the display.
"We had a lot of chances for 1-0 but they scored, it’s a shame but we have to be sharper in every part of the pitch and we did that in the last 30 minutes," he said to the club's official site. "I had a feeling throughout that we could score a goal at any time and at 1-1 we had the belief."
Chadli has been in good form this season and is Tottenham's top scorer in the league. However, he insists that grabbing the three points is the more important than individual recognition.
"I'm pleased to score a goal that made an impact and after that, Harry scored the vital goal and I'm delighted we won the game," he said.
"I’m happy to score the goals but I just want to play well and help the club. To take three points every week for me is most important."
Tottenham are now just three points outside the Champions League spots, despite showing some obvious weaknesses over the opening part of the season.
It has provided the club with optimism that this campaign could still be a successful one, but Chadli is clearly under no illusions that their current level of performance will not see them break into the top-four.
