A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Brad Friedel says Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is one of the best strikers he’s played with.
Kane’s fine run of form continued yesterday as he bagged the winner in a 2-1 win for Spurs at Aston Villa.
“I’ve played with many strikers in my career and Harry Kane is up there. As a true finisher, he is one of the best. He really is,” Friedel told MOTD.
Kane says the moment is one he’ll never forget as he continues to push for more starts at the club.
“This is a special moment, one I won’t forget. Goals change games and we knew if we got that first goal it would put them on the back foot and the second goal wouldn’t be far away,” he told the Tottenham website.
Despite Kane’s goal yesterday, Mauricio Pochettino still remains cagey over whether he’ll start Kane in Tottenham’s next Premier League game.
The boss refused to confirm whether he was starting Kane last week in the build up to the Aston Villa match.
“It's true that he's getting better since the start of the season and maybe he deserves to play in the next game,” he told Sky Sports.
