Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has poked fun at Harry Kane after the striker scored the winner against Aston Villa yesterday.
Kane came off the bench to score with a free kick late in the second half and Vertonghen published a Tweet of the forward against a sunny background enjoying the headlines following his goal.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is now under big pressure to start Kane this weekend against Stoke City, although he is an option in the Tottenham attack for the Europa League game against Asteras this Thursday.
Kane’s run of form now stretches to nine goals in his last 13 appearances for the club, while Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado continue to labour in their search to find some form, with their experience and reputations seemingly keeping them in the team.
All Kane can do is keep up the good form and keep the pressure up on his manager.
