Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder, also linked to Newcastle United, refutes suggestions of a move.
Lassana Diarra has rejected claims he has signed for Celtic.
for several days I hear a lot of stories about me just to make things clear i didnt travel nowhere much less sign for any team good evening.— Lass Diarra (@Lass_Officiel) November 3, 2014
The former Real Madrid midfielder is a free agent after being released by Lokomotiv Moscow in September, and the national press claimed over the weekend he had flown to Scotland to negotiate a deal.
The Mirror claimed also that Newcastle were trying to hijack a deal, but it appears that neither club are close.
Diarra did not suggest he was not interested in Celtic, instead placing emphasis on the suggestion an agreement has been reached.
As a free agent at 29, it's unclear at this stage which direction he sees his career going, but it does not seem to have got the shot in the arm suggested earlier today.
