We create an injured XI from all of Manchester United's crocked players so far this season.
Louis van Gaal may not have delivered as many points as he was hoping to since taking charge at Manchester United this summer, but the major concern about his management is because of the amount of injuries the club are suffering with.
United have seen huge numbers of their first-team squad ruled out during the campaign so far and here we select an XI of players who have been out with injury already this season.
Goalkeeper: Sam Johnstone (Elbow)
Johnstone may not have had much of a chance of getting first-team football at Old Trafford this season, but his chances were not helped after he picked up an elbow injury during pre-season. He is currently out on loan at Doncaster Rovers - where he is fully fit and earning praise.
Left-back: Marcos Rojo (Shoulder)
The Manchester United summer signing dislocated his shoulder against Manchester City at the weekend. In what looked an innocuous challenge he landed awkwardly and had to be stretchered from the field. He looks set for a lengthy absence.
Centre-back: Phil Jones (Hamstring/Calf)
Jones's career has been plagued by injury so far and he has already suffered with two this season. The centre-back was ruled out for a month with a torn hamstring earlier on in the season and he is currently out with a calf strain.
Centre-back: Chris Smalling (Groin)
Smalling picked up a groin injury against Sunderland earlier in the season. He is back to full fitness now, but he will still have to sit the next game out due to suspension after his red card against City this weekend.
Right-back: Rafael (Groin)
Rafael da Silva had to leave Manchester United's US Tour early during pre-season after he picked up a groin injury. He also missed the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Left-midfield: Ashley Young (Groin)
Young has missed over a month of the season already with a groin injury he picked up in late August. One of the stars of the club's pre-season, his progress has been thwarted by his current struggles for fitness.
Central-midfield: Michael Carrick (Ankle)
Carrick only made his first appearance of the season against City at the weekend, after an ankle injury has stopped him playing for Van Gaal so far.
Central-midfield: Ander Herrera (Rib)
United's summer midfield addition was ruled out for three weeks after fracturing a rib during the side's game against West Ham United.
Right-midfield: Antonio Valencia (Hamstring)
The Ecuadorian was ruled out of United's game against West Bromwich Albion earlier in the season, due to a minor hamstring tweak.
Striker: Jesse Lingard (Knee)
Lingard was a surprise starter in Van Gaal's first game in charge against Swansea City, but he has not played since after picking up a knee injury in the match.
Striker: James Wilson (Knock)
Wilson looks to be one of the side's emerging stars, but even he hasn't been able to avoid the injury crisis at the club for the entire season. Although he is fully fit at the moment, Wilson picked up a knock during an under-21 game against Tottenham Hotspur back at the start of October.
On the bench:
Luke Shaw (Knee)
Juan Mata (Hip)
Marouane Fellaini (Ankle)
Paddy McNair (Hamstring)
Angel Di Maria (Calf)
Wayne Rooney (Ankle)
