Manchester United have suffered with injuries this season and have a number of stars missing for this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Manchester City.
One player who was expected to start the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium today was defender Rafael da Silva.
The 24-year-old right-back did not start the 2014-15 campaign strongly, but he has got into rhythm in recent weeks.
Rafael is now a first-team regular under new manager Louis van Gaal, but he is not even in the squad for today’s match.
That’s because the Brazilian is injured.

Rafael’s absence is a blow to United as they aim to return to return to winning ways and get their Premier League top-four challenge back on track.
