An official poll from the BBC’s Match of the Day has shown overwhelming support for Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez.
MOTD asked fans to vote on who they would rather have in their team; Sanchez or Belgian superstar Eden Hazard of Chelsea.
Sanchez started the season as a summer arrival from Barcelona, while Hazard was the more established Premier League figure.
However, Sanchez has excelled for the Gunners in the last couple of weeks while Hazard has struggled to have a similar impact at Chelsea to the way he was so decisive at key points last season.
A potential reason it could be argued Sanchez has been more effective is because of his role in the Arsenal team, which has seen him used in a variety of positions by Arsene Wenger, with some naturally leading to him being more involved in games.
In contrast, Hazard has continued to be confined to Chelsea’s left hand side where he’s an important attacking figure, though he doesn’t enjoy the luxury of being able to start in different spots all over the midfield.
