Arsenal have been a touch inconsistent over the start of the season but they backed up a good win against Sunderland with three points against Burnley, as focus now switches back to the Champions League this week.
Ramsey suggests that the problem for this Arsenal side has been that they have failed to pick up points where they did so last season, which has seemingly allowed their rivals to pull away in the Premier League.
“We haven’t been able to turn the draws into wins, which we were doing last season,” he told the Express.
“We all feel we have missed out on a few more points than we would have liked, but that’s football.”
“Although we are gradually getting stronger as the games go on, so hopefully we can go on a winning run and close the gap.”
Another problem for Arsenal has been the injuries suffered by the first team, where Ramsey himself has been affected.
It’s been difficult for Arsene Wenger to name a consistent starting side and it’s difficult for the players to find their best form, when sections of the team have been changing so constantly.
Arsenal are on a good run of form and they are putting pressure on the sides above them heading into a busy winter period.
Key players, Theo Walcott just one, will return from injury and aid the side as the fixtures start to pile up and Arsenal are still well placed to win silverware on multiple fronts this season, but only if they can be perfect in terms of form and take advantage of mistakes from their rivals.
