Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has returned to training ahead of the Champions League Group B clash against Liverpool on Tuesday.
The Wales international has been suffering from a buttock muscle injury and has not played a competitive fixture for Madrid since the international break.
Former Tottenham Hotspur star Bale now looks set to make his injury comeback in the coming days as he trained with his teammates on Sunday.
Madrid have not missed Bale too much, as Spain international attacking midfielder Isco has played exceptionally well in his absence.
Bale, who cost Madrid a world-record transfer fee of £85.3 million to sign from Tottenham in the summer of 2013, is unlikely to start against Liverpool at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
However, the 25-year-old former Southampton star could be on Madrid’s substitutes’ bench against the Premier League outfit.
Madrid eased past Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield last month without Bale, and with the Welshman in the squad, Los Blancos will be huge favourites against Brendan Rodgers’s side this week.
