Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski was a very happy man on Saturday.
The Germany international came on as a substitute for Danny Welbeck in the 80th minute of the Premier League clash against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
The 29-year-old did not score against the promoted outfit, but that did not matter as the Gunners eased to a 3-0 win.
Playing a part in Arsenal’s victory on Saturday was, of course, a happy occasion for Podolski, who also had another reason to rejoice.
Former Bayern Munich star Podolski met footballing icon David Beckham at the game and was delighted to have done so.
After the match, the 2014 World Cup winner posted the following picture on social media.
Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 17 points from 10 matches. The North London outfit are back in action on Tuesday when they entertain Belgian giants Anderlecht at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League Group D.
