Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with making moves for Wales youngster Ethan Ampadu.

The Daily Star claims Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are all chasing Ethan Ampadu, as they look for the latest player to come into their youth team systems.

The quartet all have fantastic academy setups and can arguably offer the youngster the best opportunity to develop through the early stages of his career as he looks to ultimately turn professional.

Here are five facts about him.

He’s a 14-year-old Welsh central midfielder.

He featured in Wales’ recent 1-0 Victory Shield win against England.

Kwame Ampadu, his father, is an academy coach at Arsenal.

He currently represents Exeter City.

He spent three days at an England under-15 training camp before opting to play for Wales.

The Star suggests that the quartet are simply monitoring his progress at this stage but the fact his Dad works for Arsenal surely gives the Gunners an advantage.

His status as an academy coach means he’s well placed to judge the suitability of the youth team system at Arsenal for his son, potentially encouraging him that the Gunners are the best option.
