Manchester United transfer target Kevin Strootman is focused on his immediate role with AS Roma.

Manchester United transfer target Kevin Strootman has revealed he’s feeling great ahead of a busy winter period for Roma.

Strootman appeared to be fully focused on his current employers as he took part in a ‘Digital Friendly’ Google+ Hangout with Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben as well as fans from both clubs.

“It’s difficult for me to comment on the start of the season - I’m feeling better and better – I’m just looking forward to getting involved with my team and possibly playing in the Champions League,” said Strootman.

Louis van Gaal’s connection with the Netherlands national side has created strong speculation that Manchester United could make a move for the midfielder this winter, as United seemingly look to add more grit into the middle of their team.

However, United added well over the summer bringing in Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao and Daley Blind from Ajax, to create more options in the middle of the team, which may delay van Gaal’s desire for midfield additions until next summer.
