CONFIRMED: Manchester City v Manchester United line-ups - Two changes for LvG

Here are the sides as Manchester City host Manchester United this lunchtime.

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov; Navas, Fernando, Yaya Toure, Milner; Jovetic, Aguero

Subs: Caballero, Clichy, Sagna, Fernandinho, Boyata, Dzeko, Nasri

Manchester United: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Fellaini, Januzaj, Rooney, Di Maria, van Persie

Subs: Lindegaard, McNair, Carrick, Fletcher, Herrera, Mata, Wilson

Manchester City head into the Manchester derby after a poor result against West Ham United.

Manuel Pellegrini will be keen for his team to react to that defeat last week, but he’ll also have one eye on the Champions League game against CSKA Moscow in mid-week.

In contrast, Manchester United head into the game off of the back of arguably their best performance of the season against Chelsea.

United found a way to halt the current best team in the country last weekend and they have a similarly tough job to do this afternoon.

City have the superior league position but United have the momentum and head into this game well rested, as they didn’t play in the League Cup earlier in the week.
