Chelsea star Oscar plays down his QPR wondergoal

Oscar is not sure his wonderful finish yesterday is the best he has scored.

Chelsea defeated QPR in their West London derby yesterday afternoon. Goals from Oscar and Eden Hazard either side of a Charlie Austin goal gave them victory - but it was the opener that got most of the headlines.

Oscar was sensational throughout the game, but his goal was something else. He ran on to an excellent pass from Cesc Fabregas before firing the ball into the back of the net with a delicious outside of the foot strike.

It is certainly one of the early contenders for goal of the season, of course Oscar does like scoring the odd wondergoal. He hit a great free-kick against Crystal Palace earlier in the season. Who can forget his strikes against Juventus from his debut season?

But is this strike his best ever goal.

He told the official Chelsea website that it probably is not the best he has managed in his short career so far:

"Cesc gave a beautiful pass to me. It was perfect for shooting and when the ball came I decided now, I need to shoot.

"I don’t know if it is my best goal, I need to see it again, but it was a nice goal."

If he has to think about whether that beauty is his best ever goal he must have scored some worldies in his time.
