Arsenal are on a high this evening after defeating Burnley in a 3-0 romp at The Emirates earlier today.
After a first-half which saw Arsenal dominate but fail to take their chances the game appeared to be slipping away from The Gunners.
But it was Alexis Sanchez who again spared their blushes.
The Chilean has been superb since arriving at the club in the summer from Barcelona and he was once again terrific as Arsenal claimed victory.
He scored the first by leaping like a salmon to head home a Calum Chambers cross in the 70th minute.
Then the Southampton graduate got in on the act.
The £16 million summer signing scored his first goal for the club, and first in professional football, just moments after nabbing the assist for the first.
Arsenal killed the game off in the final minute. Alexis again was the man behind the success. He scored his second double in a week to make the scoreline as emphatic as the performance.
There was also a return to first-team action for Theo Walcott after suffering a serious knee injury in January. While Santi Cazorla also had chances to get in on the act.
But overall, a good day at the office for Arsenal FC.
