PHOTOS: Arsenal v Burnley down the years - Cup upsets and comfortable wins

We take a look at Arsenal v Burnley down the years.

In recent years Arsenal have faced Burnley on five occasions. The Gunners take on the promoted Clarets this afternoon hoping to follow up a 3-1 win in the Premier League back in March 2010 - a comfortable win against Burnley for the Arsenal that day.

But things have not always been so easy.

Arsenal drew at Turf Moor back in December 2009 while they were famously dumped out of the League Cup by Burnley a year earlier - The Clarets winning 2-0 at home to send Arsenal packing.

Goals from midfielder Kevin McDonald were enough on that day - as a young Arsenal team containing the likes of Fran Merida, Justin Hoyte and Paul Rodgers were beaten by the Championship side at the quarter-final stage.

Other than that it has been plain sailing for Arsenal. They won 3-0 in the FA Cup back in March 2009. They also won 2-0 in the same competition a year earlier; Eduardo stealing the show.

Today Arsenal will be hoping to emulate that sort of form. Here are some pictures of recent games between the pair.
