You'd be forgiven for thinking someone had got Southampton and Liverpool's positions in the Premier League mixed up for the start of the season as The Saints ride high in second spot and Liverpool loiter in the bottom half of the table.
But no. Despite Liverpool raiding Southampton for some of their prized goods it is The Reds who are struggling as the South Coast club, excuse the pun, go marching on.
Today saw Southampton stretch the gap back to Liverpool even further. They defeated Hull City at the KC Stadium while Liverpool lost at Newcastle United, doing so with just one of their former Southampton players in the starting line-up.
Dejan Lovren played but Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert had to watch from the sidelines as both were on the bench.
They certainly did not seem happy about it in this picture doing the rounds on Twitter - the pair probably wondering what all the fuss was about on Merseyside.
In total this was a combined transfer amount of around £29 million watching on as their new club toiled. They then had to watch on as Southampton won yet again, and overtook them in the betting odds for potential Premier League winners for the first time.
