Former Manchester United defender Phil Neville has said that Marouane Fellaini deserves to start the Manchester derby tomorrow.
Fellaini was superb last weekend in the match against Chelsea and also bagged an important goal in the recent 2-2 draw against West Brom.
The Belgian has often been criticised for his inconsistency since he joined United from Everton, but is starting to find his feet and prove that he can be an important player under Louis van Gaal.
It wouldn’t be a major surprise if he starts against City considering the talent they have in their midfield and LvG could urge him to do a similar job on a player like Yaya Toure along the lines of how he kept Cesc Fabregas out of the game at Old Trafford.
An in form and fully fit Fellaini gives United’s midfield a real presence and he provides something different to the attacking talent and more subtle technique of Daley Blind in the middle of the team.
