Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed Chelsea to ease to victory over Queens Park Rangers today.
Jose Mourinho’s side will head into the encounter as overwhelming favourites, and ex-Newcastle United and Manchester United star Owen believes that the home team will pick up the three points with ease.
‘Chelsea have failed to score in three of their last four PL games against Rangers but I expect another three points for the league leaders at Stamford Bridge in what I expect to be a fairly routine day at the office for the Blues’, the 34-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
Most football followers will agree with Owen’s prediction. Chelsea have a far better and stronger team, and are in better form as well.
Heading into today’s game, the Blues find themselves at the top of the Premier League table with 23 points from nine matches, four points clear of second-placed Southampton.
Meanwhile, Rangers are second from bottom in the league standings with seven points from nine games.
