Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley has underlined the threat that Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen will pose on Sunday.
The Denmark international attacking midfielder is likely to start the Premier League clash against Villa at Villa Park.
Eriksen is one of the most creative young players in Europe and could cause the shaky Villa defence huge problems.
Cleverley, who joined Villa from Manchester United on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window, believes that Eriksen will be a key player for Spurs, while naming three other Tottenham stars who could be dangerous.
‘No matter how we do it, we want to pick up three points’, the 25-year-old told Villa’s official website. ‘It doesn't matter how scrappy it is or if the winning goal comes of someone's chest.
‘It's all about getting the victory and then pushing on from there. Tottenham are a top side. They're dangerous. There's pace everywhere.
'Christian Eriksen is a clever player as are Danny Rose, Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon if they play this weekend. They have threats but so do we. It's all about us performing well and doing everything we can to get the win’.
Cleverley himself will be a key player for Villa against Tottenham. The England international has created seven chances in six Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 88% and a shot accuracy of 100%.
Villa will head into Sunday’s Premier League clash placed 15th in the table with 10 points from nine matches, while Spurs are currently a point and a place above them.
