A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed how he and Ryan Giggs have worked on different areas ahead of the Manchester derby tomorrow.

The boss has detailed how he has been working on tactics and physical ideas, while Giggs has been getting the squad fired up for the game.

“He has transferred the idea of emotion and I have transferred the idea of how we have to play. When Ryan Giggs presented me with the analysis [of City], I felt more tension with him,” said the boss.

Van Gaal also says he’s got a good feeling ahead of the derby showdown, which is his first since he took control of United in the summer.

“I am not jealous of the squad of Manchester City. I am proud of my players and that is the most important thing. If we play like a team we have a big chance to win,” said van Gaal.

Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria has promised the club’s fans the players will be doing everything to win this weekend.

United head into the game against City as the slight underdogs due to the difference in league position between the teams.

“We know it's a very important match for United. We also know it's a very important match for the city of Manchester,” he told the Mirror.
