It is the Manchester derby tomorrow as United and City go toe-to-toe. Manchester United have plenty of newbies who will feature in their first derby day tomorrow, one of which is defender Marcos Rojo.
The Argentine cost £16 million from Sporting Lisbon this summer, after a long and protracted saga over his signing.
For him it will be the first time he faces some of these players and he will be tasked with stopping one of world football's most feared attacking forces in what will be an exciting tie.
But while he doesn't know all of the opponents, he certainly knows one - Sergio Aguero. In fact, he knows him very well, as the pair are international team-mates.
The Manchester United defender was in the World Cup squad for La Albiceleste this summer, as he and Aguero made it to the final. So Rojo will hopefully have some tricks of the trade up his sleeve from training with Aguero on international duty.
Tomorrow Rojo will have to put their friendship aside for 90 minutes, as he attempts to stop perhaps the league's best striker from netting.
Something Rojo is not underestimating, according to quotes on the official Manchester United website:
“It’s crucial to defend well against Sergio. Everyone knows he is a very fast player who can inflict damage. He’s very good at getting into dangerous positions. You need to be very focused and concentrated on his movement and be very aware of where he is and where he might put himself. You need to do throughout the 90 minutes."
Talking about it is one thing, but doing it is another. Manchester United fans will hope Rojo is in top form tomorrow. He'll need to be.
