Volgarr the Viking, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, and Chariot can be downloaded for free on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

It was only a couple of days ago that Microsoft announced November's free Games with Gold for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and here we are, into November already.

Right, what have we got first. On Xbox One you can pick up Volgarr the Viking throughout the whole of November. I've just downloaded it myself now - when I'll get to play it, I have no idea, but that's the beauty of it, as long as it's on my Xbox One I can play it whenever I like.

Volgarr the Viking's description says it's basically a return to the old-school platformers of years gone by, a hardcore 16-bit tribute to the classics. It has 'simple controls, high challenge, and meticulous design'.

Take a look at the launch trailer for the game below, which mixes a couple of my favourite things - Vikings and Heavy Metal.

Xbox One owners can still download last month's free game - Chariot. Which means no more Crimson Dragon... I'm sure many people are OK with that. Check out last month's Games with Gold announcement for more Chariot info.

On Xbox 360 the first game available until 16th November is Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. Another game I've yet to play, but I'll download it and try it out soon.

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is the sequel to the original Viva Piñata. It says the game will see players returning to Piñata Island as a gardener, to make another garden for the island. So it's a gardening simulator? I don't know. It received positive reviews when it was released back in 2008, so it's definitely worth a look, and there's no excuse not to, seeing as it's free.

Take a look at the super colourful trailer for Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise below.

We'll bring you a reminder, and more details, when the second free Xbox 360 game, Red Faction: Guerilla, is available on 16th November. So, go now, enjoy your free games!
