The Steam Halloween Sale is here for your wallet

Left 4 Dead

Vavle's Steam PC gaming platform offers up more incredibly cheap deals on some equally incredible games.

So, that document detailing a Steam Halloween Sale was legit. No surprises there eh? Steam not having a sale on a big holiday is like me not dunking a biscuit in my coffee, it just ain't gonna happen. Let's take a look at what's on offer, and maybe even give you some recommendations.

There are all kinds of games going super cheap, ones you wouldn't necessarily immediately associate with a Halloween theme, but are we too concerned about that? No. First up we have Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, which are probably two of the best zombie games ever made, and still look great today. You can buy them both bundled together for just £5.74, which is an absolutely ridiculous price. Treat yourself!

Right, now I need to just limit myself to recommend maybe two more games, otherwise this article will turn into an essay. Telltale's The Walking Dead is definitely worth your time, it's a slower paced title compared to Left 4 Dead, but it's no less fun. Your choices  matter throughout the story, and it may even pull on some of your emotional strings that a game has never pulled on before.

OK, last one. Right, I go on about this game quite a lot, but it gave me a horror experience I'd never had before. Outlast. If you want to be genuinely terrified out of your skin, buy this game.

And that's it. Check out the entire Halloween Sale listing, there are 442 items on sale according to the page, and you're bound to find something in there that'll interest you.

Be careful though, I know from personal experience how difficult it is to refrain from impulse buying in these sales. You should probably watch the video below, it'll make you laugh, perhaps even make you think before buying 30 games in one go, but then you'll just go ahead and do it anyway. The sale ends on 3rd November.
