Sunderland find themselves in the unusual position of being able to unveil a new signing on Monday night.
Indeed, after shipping 10 goals in their last two Premier League games, Black Cats boss Gus Poyet has made the understandable move of snapping up free agent Anthony Reveillere to strengthen his defence.
And Reveillere could be in line to make his debut for Sunderland at Crystal Palace on Monday night.
"I was always keen to play in England and had an opportunity to do so at Lyon," the Frenchman told reporters.
"It never happened but here I am at 34, so better late than never. I am a full-back who likes to drive forward but primarily I am a defender who keeps on going and never gives up.
"I am very keen to help out and with every training session, I feel better and better. I want to do very well here."
On Friday afternoon, the 34-year-old featured prominently in first-team training, while Wes Brown - a culprit for one of Arsenal's goals last weekend after a comical error - was also all smiles.
Goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon, meanwhile, could be in line to replace the recently error-prone Vito Mannone. Both shot stoppers were in training as usual on Friday afternoon.
Here are the best pictures from practice, then, as Poyet's men look to achieve a much-needed result against Palace. If anyone needs a boost, it is the Uruguayan and his side...
