Liverpool appeared to be in good spirits as they trained ahead of the important Premier League game against Newcastle United this weekend.
Liverpool are searching for some consistency and a reaction after a disappointing 0-0 draw last weekend and they have some slight momentum thanks to a win against Swansea City in the League Cup earlier this week.
Brendan Rodgers decided to take a hands on approach to first team training, much to the amusement of summer signings Emre Can and Mario Balotelli, with the Italian showing a grin when Rodgers attempted to show them how it’s done during a session.
It’s encouraging to see the boss directly involved and also to see players with smiles on faces, as they deal with the pressure of trying to force Liverpool back up the table and into the top four.
Liverpool will be the slight favourites heading into the game tomorrow, but there’s no sign of a return for Daniel Sturridge ahead of the game as he remains out with injury.
