Novembers free Xbox Games with Gold goes Total Recall

Microsoft have announced which games Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners can download for free next month.

It feels like it's been a while since we heard of new Games with Gold offerings, doesn't it? No? Just me then. Well, Microsoft have announced which three new titles Xbox owners will be able to download for free from tomorrow.

Xbox One owners will get Volgarr the Viking, which is the latest ID@Xbox game. I've not played it myself, but it has been on my radar, so getting it for free is a bonus.

Xbox 360 owners get two more free games, starting with Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise from 1st November, and then that will change to Red Faction: Guerilla on 16th November until the end of the month.

I remember playing Red Faction: Guerilla when it first came out in 2009. It used the Geomod 2.0 engine, which allowed players to destroy buildings in a less scripted fashion, meaning you could just blast through a wall to escape, or take out the supporting framework to make a building crumble to the ground. It was really fun. And the urge to make a Totall Recall joke here that involves the derrière and Mars is rather high, but I'll save you that.

We'll bring you more details about the games, and a reminder when they're available to download for free, starting tomorrow. Don't forget, you still have til the end of today to download October's free games of Chariot on Xbox One and Darksiders II on Xbox 360.
