Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has revealed his favourite save of last month.
And it is one that all the Red Devils’ fans will fondly remember.
The save came back on October 5 in the Premier League clash against Everton at Old Trafford.
United were leading the encounter 2-1 and it was deep into injury time. Bryan Oviedo took an attempt on goal, and it seemed to be going in when De Gea made a truly brilliant save.
That save was probably a key factor in the United fans voting Spain international De Gea as their Player of the Month for October.
‘I think every save is important for the goalkeepers and for the team, but maybe in this game the save in the last minute can be the most important save, perhaps more than the penalty in the first half’, the 23-year-old told United’s official website.
De Gea will be back in action for United on Sunday, when Louis van Gaal’s side take on city-rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
