Everton Ribeiro's value has dropped in the past 12 months.
Several reports toward the end of last year linked Manchester United with a move for Cruzeiro playmaker Everton Ribeiro. He was also been linked with moves to Russia, China and Qatar - but he has admitted himself that the idea of playing for Manchester United is a dream:
"I will continue doing my job here at Cruzeiro but plan on getting to a big club. It's a dream I've had since young, I've always liked Manchester United."
He was coming off the back of an incredible season for Cruzeiro in Brazil as they took the Campeonato Brasileiro title by storm - finishing the campaign as champions. And Ribeiro received the accolade as the tournament's best player - such was his influence on the title win.
In the end Ribeiro never made the move - as he wanted to play in the Copa Libertadores for his current team.
Manchester United wanted him under David Moyes and it is unknown if that interest continues under Louis van Gaal - but if it is, they will need to make a move soon.
Because it is growing increasingly likely that Juventus are ready to swoop for the player.
It is being reported today that Juventus have sent observers over to star negotiations over a move for the player. The most staggering report however is the apparent price-tag for the player - which is said to be around €7 million.
Of course they will struggle to get a move through regardless, as Ribeiro is only part-owned by his current club.
As Manchester United discovered with the signing of Marcos Rojo - that can cause serious issues.
But it is certainly a massive dip in the price Manchester United and Shakhtar Donetsk were reportedly quoted a year ago, of around €15 million.
His performances have barely dipped but it would seem Cruzeiro are ready to let him go, with a cut price deal seemingly in the offing.
At that price, perhaps United should reignite their interest.
