The form of David De Gea became apparent at the weekend when he matched the performance of Thibaut Courtois in the Chelsea goal during the crunch Premier League tie between the two.
He has been in terrific form as of late and that has seen many singing his praises from fans, pundits and other players.
His performance against Everton in particular was superb. A late save from Bryan Oviedo's strike stopped the Costa Rican from breaking United hearts late on at Old Trafford for the second season in a row.
The Manchester United stopper was in fine fettle for most of October and that has seen him awarded the Manchester United player of the month award.
The United stopper, who has recently become Spain's number one goalkeeper, won the accolade with a massive 70 per cent of the voting - way ahead of Angel Di Maria and Marouane Fellaini in second and third place respectively.
He follows in the footsteps of Di Maria and Phil Jones in winning the individual awards so far this season and he will hope to continue his good form, and help Manchester United to a Champions League place.
