Manchester United morning news: Keane launches attack on Scholes, Cavani on rumours

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester United.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has laid into club legend Paul Scholes.

Keane has suggested the perceptions of Scholes as a quiet and reserved person are false.

“People thought he was camera-shy; he just couldn’t be bothered. None of us liked doing interviews, but it was a responsibility of the dressing room, you shared the load,” said Keane.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has ruled out the possibility of joining Manchester United or any other club.

The Uruguayan has revealed that he feels safe at PSG despite consistently being linked with an exit.

“I feel very good here at Paris and the club supports and protects me. I was never against the manager, the President or anybody else,” he said.

Manchester City midfielder David Silva has been ruled out of the Manchester derby this weekend.

The Spaniard picked up a knee problem as City lost to Newcastle United in the League Cup earlier this week.
