The top five players linked with signing for Tottenham Hotspur this week: Depay, Kramer and more

White Hart Lane 6

Southampton, West Brom, PSV Eindhoven, Bayer Leverkusen and Cagliari stars all feature.

Tottenham Hotspur are an attractive club for any top European talent to consider joining and the rumour mill has suggested plenty of possible targets in the media this week.

Here are five of the best players to be linked with moves to Tottenham.

Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)

The England striker was linked with a move to Tottenham over the summer. However, a deal never came about and Rodriguez has been suffering from the injury, which ruled him out of the England World Cup squad for the tournament in Brazil last summer.

Saido Berahino (West Brom)

Berahino is consistently linked with a switch to White Hart Lane. Liverpool are reported as their main rivals with a £25 million price tag doing the rounds in the press, which could be a stretch for the North Londoners.

Memphis Depay (PSV Eindhoven)

Reports this week have suggested that Tottenham are still interested in a deal for Depay having failed with a £16 million move to get him last summer. He could add an injection of pace and creativity down either side of the Spurs midfielder.

Christoph Kramer (Bayer Leverkusen)

Kramer’s stock rose when he won the World Cup with Germany. He may be on loan away from Leverkusen but it’s Tottenham, not loan club Monchengladbach, who have been deemed as having the best chance of signing him.

Albin Ekdal (Cagliari)

The last thing Tottenham probably need is another midfielder, but Ekdal has been linked with a move to Spurs this week. Sportmediaset claim Tottenham have been impressed by his consistency so far this season.
