First expansion details revealed for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of Mordor Lord of the Hunt Beast Hunter

There's more Orc slaying to be had in Mordor with the first DLC expansion pack.

The first DLC pack for Monolith's Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is due for release later this year. It's called 'Lord of the Hunt', and some new details about what's included have been revealed.

The DLC will see Talion joining Torvin the Dwarven Hunter once more, as Sauron unleashes his Beastermaster Warchiefs into Mordor. These new Warchiefs will be able to ride the beasts of Mordor, so maybe some Graug jousting is on the cards?

New Epic Runes, new mounted Uruks, story missions, and more are included. The full list of everything in the DLC is below:

New Story & Lore – Discover more tales from Torvin, the Dwarven Hunter, as you work together to tame the beasts of Mordor and fight Sauron’s minions.

New Nemeses – Face off against the Beastmaster Warchiefs, powerful new Uruks who have the ability to ride monsters and engage in perilous mounted combat.

New Monsters – Ride into battle on the Wretched Graug to vomit toxin at your foes, stalk your enemies on the predatory Caragath and attack from the shadows or raise an all-consuming Ghul Horde.

New Missions & Challenges – New Beast Hunting challenges and collectibles open up new trophies and achievements.

New Epic Runes – Make your Mount unstoppable with five new epic Runes that make you the ultimate hunter.

Test of the Wild – Test your skills against the Beastmasters and mount your trophies on the leaderboard.

New Character Skin – Lord of the Hunt skin transform Talion into the ultimate Beastmaster.

Take a look at the trailer for the Season Pass below, which gives a sneaky glimpse at what's included.

A free DLC pack was made available last week, which included a Black Hand skin for Talion, along with some new Epic Runes.

Our review of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor gave it an 8/10, with the game's unique Nemesis System being an incredibly fun and interesting gameplay mechanic to manipulate and test.

Shadow of Mordor is already available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It's due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on 18th November in the US, and 21st November in Europe.
