Manchester City host Manchester United in what will be a hotly-contested Premier League rivalry on Sunday, November 2.
The match has added significance this season as, Manchester City ran away with the crown last year while United slumped to a substandard seventh place, however, this year, under Louis van Gaal, United are threatening to enter renaissance form.
City, meanwhile, have failed to hit the heights they achieved last term and have already dropped ten points after nine match-days.
United's intent to return to the top four was underlined by their aggressive summer recruitment drive, with the arrival of Angel di Maria the most marquee addition at Old Trafford.
For legendary Liverpool defender and Sky Sports analyst, it is the Argentine winger who City would most desire to have in their own squad - a sentiment that was perhaps heightened amid the injury suffered by David Silva, recently.
"Di Maria is the obvious choice," said Carragher in a recent column for Sky Sports. "He’s started his United career like a house on fire and looks like he is going to create something every time he gets the ball, so you’d have to say him."
Di Maria has scored three and assisted four goals from just seven appearances in the Premier League.
He currently has an attacking efficiency of a goal scored or assist provided once every 82 minutes he is on the field.
