They snapped up former Tottenham under-19 captain Kevin Stewart on a free transfer. The defender had been released by Spurs in the summer but he got another chance at Premier League football at the club he supported as a boy.
The presence of former Tottenham youth coach Alex Inglethorpe at Liverpool was likely a huge factor in his arrival and the former Crew loanee will be hoping to prove himself in the Liverpool first-team in the future.
Today he got a chance at impressing Brendan Rodgers and co in first-team training. Stewart got stuck in with the likes of Lazar Markovic and Balotelli at Melwood as he looks to try and force his way into the Liverpool first-team.
He was not the only youngster in action. Striker Jerome Sinclair was also involved as was Lloyd Jones, Jordan Rossiter and Daniel Trickett-Smith all got involved in the first-team training session this Thursday.
