Thorgan Hazard hit the net for Borussia Monchengladbach last night.

Borussia Monchengladbach were dealt a difficult draw in the second round of the DFB Pokal in Germany - leaving one Chelsea forward with the tough task of helping down Eintracht Frankfurt.

Thorgan Hazard is of course the player in question. The younger Hazard brother is currently on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach from Chelsea. The Bundesliga move came after a season and a half of impressive performances in the Jupiler League with Zulte-Waregem.

Teams from across Europe scrambled for his temporary signature but Gladbach won him over.

And yesterday he scored his third goal for the club as they swept aside Eintracht in a 2-1 away triumph.

He was played in by fellow attacker Max Kruse before rushing on to the ball with his right foot - side-footing a powerful half volley beyond the outstretched Felix Wiedwald.

It is the Chelsea prospect's third goal for the club this season, although all three of his strikes have come in cup competitions. He is still awaiting his first Bundesliga goal with the club, but given his talent, it should not be far away.
