Everton manager Roberto Martinez has played down fears that Darron Gibson could miss this weekend’s clash against Swansea City.
The 27-year-old midfielder picked up a knee injury while training, and there were suggestions that he could be sidelined for up to two weeks.
However, during a press conference this morning, Martines insisted that the Republic of Ireland international will train today, while giving injury updates on Kevin Mirallas and John Stones.
Everton are preparing for the Premier League clash against Swansea at Goodison Park on Saturday.
While the Toffees are currently ninth in the league table, the Swansea are sixth, and Martinez expects the Welsh outfit to give them a run for their moment.
