Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado react to Tottenham Hotspur win v Brighton & Hove Albion in League Cup

Tottenham Hotspur duo Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado are pleased with the 2-0 home win against Brighton & Hove Albion in the League Cup on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has expressed his delight with the victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday.

The Premier League outfit got the better of the Seagulls 2-0 at White Hart Lane in the fourth round of the League Cup.

Argentina international Lamela came on as a half-time substitute and broke the deadlock on 54 minutes, turning home Roberto Soldado’s pass.

England Under-21 international forward Harry Kane secured the win 20 minutes later with his eighth goal in 11 games.

After the game, Lamela took to social media to revel in Tottenham’s success.

Soldado was also delighted with Spurs’ progress to the quarter-finals of the League Cup where they will take on Newcastle United at White Hart Lane.

However, the Spain international striker did rue not scoring against Championship club Brighton on Wednesday.
