The Argentine winger loves the city of Manchester and his new club.
There is no doubt who has been the most eye-catching of Manchester United's new signings. Angel Di Maria cost Manchester United £59.7 million from Real Madrid this summer - already an eye-catching amount of cash.
But he has so far proven to be up to those standards, getting United fans very excited about his future at the club.
The people of Manchester have taken to Di Maria like one of their own and the Argentine has been discussing how welcome he feels in the city.
He told the official Manchester United website:
"When we are coming out after training or after the games, I have had a chance to meet some of the fans and it makes me happy that they love us so much and have got so much affection for us.
"I am trying to do my best to pay them back when I am on the field, so that the people are happy. They are really polite, they are always saying please and always saying thank you. That is really nice and I am really happy here...”
To hear that their star player is already so settled in to life in the city is certainly a positive sign for Manchester United fans.
Di Maria represents a big investment and his happiness is paramount to the success of the club.
Argentines are hit and miss in Manchester. Juan Sebastian Veron is best forgotten while Gabriel Heinze is a more favourable memory - even if he did try force a move to Liverpool. Carlos Tevez did the ultimate sin and went from United to City - so fans can be wary of the Albiceleste players when they arrive at Old Trafford.
So to hear the rapport between them and Di Maria is already excellent can only be good news.
