Iago Aspas is showing some good form at Sevilla.
Liverpool came out on top ahead of many suitors in the chase to sign the talented Spaniard forward Iago Aspas last summer. They ended up paying Celta Vigo a fee in the region of £7.7 million for his services in June 2013 but Aspas struggled in his debut England term.
The physical nature of English football did not agree with Aspas who only managed 15 games and one goal for Liverpool last term before being shipped out on loan to Sevilla this campaign.
Since joining Sevilla the Liverpool man has slowly got back into the swing of things in Spanish football.
While he has been used sparingly in La Liga he is an important member of the side when it comes to cup competitions - scoring in the Europa League and last night stealing the show against Sabadell in the Copa Del Rey.
Sevilla won the game 6-1 and Aspas was the star of the show.
He scored a hat-trick in the game as Sevilla romped to victory, including a sensational volley to make the game 2-0 after 43 minutes.
This might just be the performance he needed to convince his new gaffer he is ready for some La Liga football. In turn, he may still prove useful for Liverpool going forward.
