At one of the most prestigious, old institutions in England, the Royal Institution, sixteen top brains will come together to present the most thought-provoking presentations you will have heard for a long time.
Ever wanted to get clear on Nano- and Neuro- Technology? Explore Cyber Security? Or hear about the smartest smart house around? You can also find out about Hybrid Airships, Regenerative Medicine and Energy Storage from the top people in these fields, which will give you a good idea of what’s happening right now, and what will be happening in the near future.
The conference, 16 Ways to Change the World, will be taking place on 2 December, and is open to anyone curious about how the world will be changing.
Prof Ian Goldin, Director of the Oxford Martin School, will give the keynote address on the future. The CEO of another major UK think-tank, the RAC’s Matthew Taylor, will introduce the leading young thinkers from of course Oxford and Cambridge, but also Imperial College, Downing and the Weizmann Institute.
Other startling topics will be invisibility, 3D printing, and the question if whether or not we can actually cool the planet. To hear about the dismal role of sweeteners seems almost pedestrian compared to all that, but might just change your life!
